Communion Cup

A Very Special Communion Cup
Our mom is the sort of person who likes to know that you have spent time and thought on her presents, rather than store bought gifts she will never cherish. She especially enjoys homemade gifts, and that is why we have so many different gifts that dad made specifically for her, enough in fact to be able to make a website!

Teapot Trivet
It all began with a pretty Royal Albert teapot
The teapot was a Christmas present for my mom one year when I was very small, and ever after it became one of her special treasures. We often tease mom that she should have been born in England during the Victorian era; she loves teapots, teacups, and all other dainties.

Our Ice Cream Scoop
The
history of our famous ice cream scoop
It all began years ago from a pattern of my dad’s old friend, Dave Howell. Twenty two year old Dave and his sixteen yearold wife Ida, moved from their home in New Mexico—in the midst of the devastating Dust Bowl—to find a new life in Lynwood, California.
Our Special Ladle
“Bean
Soup…Anyone?”—All about our Ladle
The genesis story of my dad’s ladle began years ago with a dear old friend. His name was Dave Howell. My sister Ashley already mentioned Mr. Howell in one of her histories, but I will talk about him just a little bit more.
